Would infected tonsils be a viral infection or a bacterial infection? Please let me know.?

I’ve been through a series of sickness for 2 weeks now from pluerisy to fever, and now, what looks to me, as a infected tonsil issue. I want to know if it’s bacterial infection or viral so I can take these anti-biotics that I have still from 3 months ago.
Oh, and it was the same problem, so I know the drugs are for this treatment.

Usually tonsillitis is either related to strep or its a viral problem. See the doctor.
Your tonsils may be infected with either a virus or a bacteria.A doctor can get you tested to make sure.Only then should you consider antibiotics because antibiotics are useless for viral infections.Do not use your old antibiotics.You should consider antibiotics only for a serious bacterial infection because there has been so much over use of antibiotics. Your immune system has the capacity to overcome infections.Eat healthy food and drink plenty of water.
