Taylor, The doctors will put you to sleep. While you are sleeping the doctor will take a funny looking instrument that cuts out the tonsils and then you will wake up with a sore throat. You will have to take some medicine to help with the pain and one to fight infection. Usually you will go home after a few hours and that will be all there is to it. Good luck,
You get drugged asleep then they cut your tonsils out with a scalpal ad you wake up with your throat soar as hell but they give you medicine for that and you get to eat ice cream.
they give you anesthesia which puts you to sleep, then they go through your nose/throat with a scalpel and cut out your tonsills. Then they wake you up and you eat popsicles (NOT ICE CREAM, because ice cream has live cultures that can cause infections to open wounds in the digestive tract and mouth). They give you antibiotics and pain killers, you go home, and that’s it. (no need to stay overnight). i’ve had it done before and there isn’t anything scary about it.
good luck.
