WHY? BECAUSE YOU HAVE TONSILS AND THEY KEEP YOU FROM HAVING THROAT INFECTIONS BY OCCASIONALLY FORMING THESE STONES. I WOULDN'T CONSIDER HAVING THE TONSILS REMOVED TO GET RID OF THE STONES. STAY WELL HYDRATED AND DO A DAILY GARGLE TO LOOSEN ANY STONES. THERE IS NOT MUCH THAT ANY DOCTOR CAN DO ABOUT TONSIL STONES.
