What do i eat one day after tonsil removal?
I’m kelsey i’m 16 years old and i just had tonsil removal surgery yesterday morning, it is extremely painful and there is not much i am aloud to eat. doctors said that i cant eat any red foods, or hot foods, and they told me to stay away from dairy products at the moment too. please help me i am starving!
The doctor told me not to eat dairy because he doesnt want mucus build up or something? But jello sounds good, and does the medicine taste bad? i am scared to taste it. specially because its liquid and its pink.

chicken broth or have your mom belnd up vegetable soup in a blender, jello, orange sherbert
ice cream and apple sauce would prolly be best.
jello, crushed ice, ice pops
Sherbet is not dairy, you can eat that.. Jello, applesauce, and popsicles will go down easy, too.
Jello.
I remember when i had my tonsils out i ate cereal but then that has milk in i cant understand why they say no dairy it must have changed i hate ice cream you can get lemon icecream with no dairy and it will sooth your throat – why not make a smoothie then it wont hurt as you drink, Hope you get well soon xx
jello, mashed potatoes with gravy (not too hot! just lukewarm ones)
Smoothies. I had dental surgery and that was all I could eat. The cold helped with the pain. Also had surgery on my throat a while back and my mom made me smoothies then. Just sip a little bit at a time. Or make soup and let it cool before eating it.
Feel better soon!
this is the fun part about having tonsils removed, lots of soft stuff including but not limited too jello & ice cream.
I was told to eat ice cream when I had mine out at 15 and I was fine. Unless you’re lactose intolerant, I don’t see why you couldn’t eat ice cream. Go eat some ice cream Kelsey. Tell that doctor to get bent.
