These days insurance companies will not cover to get your tonsils removed unless you have tonsillitis i think its 6 times in one year…I keep being one short…ugh
The only time you need them to be removed is if they constantly cause problems…like if they are always enlarged or infected…good luck!
and yes, it can also lead to an ear infection!
you get sick a lot over and over again. yes they can cause ear infections
According to our friends at the Mayo Clinic;
Signs and symptoms of tonsillitis include:
Red, swollen tonsils
White patches on the tonsils
Sore throat
Difficult or painful swallowing
Headache
Fever and chills
Enlarged, tender glands (lymph nodes) in the jaw and neck
Loss of voice (laryngitis)
Abdominal pain in children
