Tonsil Infection Question?

i was in hospital 8 days with tonsillitis only got out today but when u looked at my tonsil at home there is white puss and its kinda hard to swallow??? any ideas i have on 8 days of iv antibiotics is it still infected? im meant to have my tonsil removed tuesday but dunno if they will remove the tonsil if infected any ideas???

Tonsillitis has to be one of the most painful, and miserable things to go through, so you have my sympathies hun as I’ve been there.
Go back to your doctors as they are the only ones who can advise you on this. The chances are that even with an infection they will still remove your tonsils, but if they are really bad they may keep you in until it’s settled down and then remove them.
Won’t be long now till your well rid of them, so look forward to lovely ice cream when you feel better.

They could be tonsil stones, I get them all the time and if they get too bad, my throat starts to hurt. I would call your doctor since you were in the hospital for tonsiltis, but here is a web address so that you can read up on it and see if your symptoms match.
