throwing clot of blood 5days after tonsellectomy,tonsil removal?

hi it bout my partner he had his tonsil removed 5days ago now,hes been off n on in pain,but just tonoght he had thick red blood which he spit out,am just worried does he need to go to hoh,or is this to worry about any experience of post tonsillectomy pain n blood plz help tnx

any amount of bleeding after a tonsillectomy is not good. if the bleeding doesn’t stop immediately then you need to call the dr and will most likely need to go to t he hospital cuz there is a very high risk of bleeding to death after a tonsillectomy.
