Sore throat for 5 days, could this be tonsillitis?
Naturally i will consult a doctor, but i was wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience! I’ve had this sore throat for the past 5 days, it’s not hurting as much as it was, but it came completely randomly, without most flu symptoms such as a cough or runny nose, but the lymph nodes in my neck are swollen and hurt to the touch, and in the week i was experiencing body aches, chills and nausea. Could it be tonsillitis?

Aches, chills and nausea
are commonly associated with tonsillitis.
Check your actual tonsils in your mouth with a torch.
(the side tissues of your throat)
If they are swollen and/or have white marks on them,
you most likely have tonsillitis.
(Google Image search ‘tonsillitis’ if you don’t know where i’m talking about.)
The reason why it doesn’t hurt as much now is probably because it’s going away.
It takes 3-7 days to clear up.
Nevertheless, it might be best to see a doctor just in case it could be a bad case or something different
Hope you get better
I am not a doctor, but to my knowledge, lymph nodes can get swollen for many reasons. You clearly have some sort of an infection or a cold and this is affecting your lymphs. There is no reason to assume it’s tonsillitis. See a doctor as that will be much better then to listen to people who have no way of physically examining you.
