Regarding Tonsil Removal Recovery?

I Had my Tonsils out a week ago.. the pain has eased slightly but i was just wondering how long until i will be able to speak properly again? and when it wont hurt when i swallow? and how long till i can eat normal foods.
im 17.
im not scared its just really annoying!

I had mine out at 24 and unfortunately it took about 3 weeks before I felt back to normal. Even though it hurts you need to drink a lot of fluids to help you heal. The first painkiller I was prescribed made me sick, but the doctor called in a different medication and that helped to be able to eat some. I know it feels like forever now, but in the end it’s worth it when you’re not getting strep throat all the time.
