Question about tonsil and adenoid removal on a 3 year old?

My sisters little boy had his tonsils and adenoids removed Friday, well since then he has been running fever, Last night he woke up screaming and crying and he was soaking wet, this just doesn’t sound normal to me. Is it normal to run fever this many days after the procedure? Whats your experiences?

Well when I got mine out they hurt like a b*tch, but also I did run a fever about week after also, your body is getting used to the missing parts so it takes time, But I can barely remember half of it because we were evacuating from hurricane Katrina and my mom gave me this medicine that would make me sleep the whole time haha
