Problems after my tonsil surgery?

Well, i had my tonsils taken out 4 days ago and i still feel lots of pain from it, they said the pain would start to go away within the 3rd day but it hasnt its stayed the same i also had people look in my throat and said it still looks the same as it did 3 days ago, its hard to eat cause of the swallowing, and i cant speak lol i think ive gone deaf can anyone tell me whats going on?

I had the same problem with mine. Are you an adult? Recovery takes a lot longer for adults… My uvula was completely swollen for nearly a week due to an allergic reaction to the tube down my throat… I couldn’t talk for a week and swallowing was extremely difficult. Warm liquids worked to sooth the pain. I suggest calling your doctor if you don’t feel a bit better by tomorrow.
Wow ! i had my tonsils removed a year ago.everything i tried to eat hurt so bad.i got dehygrated and i had a temper of 101.
my husband had to take me to ER.
i was dehydrated because i wasn’t able to swallow food or liquids. you need to drink or eat soon as posilible. Good Luck !
