Possible tonsil infection? build up of white stuff squeezes out of my tonsil.?
One of my tonsils has been bigger than the other for atleast 6 months. My throat is not sore at all, but when I push on my tonsil a build up of white stuff squeezes out of my tonsil. It builds up again over the next couple of days, and then It squeezes out again. It tastes really bad and gives me bad breath. Im pretty sure its not tonsilitis because its been happening over 6 months and doesnt hurt at all. Any ideas on what this is

I believe you have what is called a tonsil stone. The material is actually produced by bacteria that live on the top of the tongue. This bacteria can often be seen as "white stuff", especially in the back of the tongue. This white stuff moves from the tongue and collects in the hole in your tonsil. Yes, it smells really bad also. The white stuff on your tongue should be removed by cleaning the tongue at least twice a day with a tongue cleaner. I use OraBrush tongue cleaner because it is both a brush and a scraper. It works really well for me. If you keep your tongue clean you will have less tonsil stones as well as less plaque buildup around your teeth. Cleaning your tongue will also cure bad breath.
Ye sounds like you ve got tonsillitis
it’s your tonsils and adenoids
In some patients, chronic tonsil infections and enlarged tonsils can lead to a condition called chronic cryptic tonsillitis. The tonsils contain many small pockets and infoldings called crypts, which can trap small food particles and other debris. This can produce small, white stone-like particles called tonsilliths, composed of bacteria and dead cells, which are foul-smelling, can prolong the infection, and may cause a mild, intermittent sore throat.
Dang.. sounds like you are human..As long you feel ok … Do the normal brush and floss… rince with mouthwash for a few seconds..drink 2 glasses of water each meal you will be fine..
It sounds like you have tonsilloliths all right.
Tonsillolith can result from the following – oral bacteria – dead white blood cells – overactive salivary glands.
And yes it makes sense that you have had it for a while now as it is possible to have tonsilloliths for an extended period of time.
I am 34 years old and have been having Tonsillolith on and off since I can remember (mine however does involve a sore throat). 4 months ago a friend handed me a health drink and so far so good (I do drink the beverage on a daily basis). Hopefully this will be the last of Tonsillolith for me.
Wishing you a quick recovery.
