If I am having surgery Friday at 10:30am, is it wise to take the Army PT test the day prior? Just curious, the surgery is pretty serious, 5-6 hour operation involving my deviated septum, removal of my tonsils, adnoids in my throat and nose, and removal of 15% from the base of my tongue and the back of my throat. If anyone has any insight on this and can shed some light on it as soon as possible it is appreciated.

I have these horrible, disgusting, rancid, foul smelling, tonsil stones. I already have severe depression and anxiety and these make it worse. I can never have a boyfriend because they don’t want to smell these things on my breath. I actually never had a boyfriend and I’m not ugly it’s just these horrible things turn people off. I obsess about them constantly and they are constantly coming out of these holes in my tonsils. Sometimes I want to end my life cause of them. They are causing me to not have any friends in life. My doctor refused to remove my tonsils to get rid of them and that is the only way to get rid of them I heard. I tried everything they said to get rid of them. I floss after every meal, use thera breath mouthwash, brush my teeth after every meal, brush my toungue after every meal. I make sure my mouth is rinsed out before bed and I gargle. I never had sinuses or a runny nose so it’s not from that. I want my nasty ugly tonsils out and every doctor refuses to do it. Isn’t this considered refusal of treatment. Don’t I have a right to treatment. I thought doctors have to help people to be healthy and cure them. I know some adults said they had their tonsils removed because of them well why won’t they remove my adult tonsils? Can I sue them for not treating me and refusing to treat me. What if I comitted suicide cause of the tonsil stones? Would the doctor be the cause of my suicide from neglect to treat the tonsil stones? I cry everyday cause of them. Please someone help I want to kill myself right now cause of this horrible disease. Please answer my questions I know I have a lot of questions in here and I’m sorry about that but I just feel lost and hopeless cause it seems like there is no hope for this situation. I need quality of life and doctors are suppose to do that. I feel so hurt and betrayed by doctors. I need to deperately get rid of these nasty smelly things quick or I will commit suicide. It seems like suicide is the only way to get rid of them right now. Thanks to anyone that reads this long paragraph.

Anyone have a toddler with tonsil stones? My 3 year old has had bad breathe for a while now and today i noticed he pulled out a tonsil stone and it was disgusting. I know about them since my brother has them but he is 21 and has had them for years and i had them before i had my tonsilectomy 10 years ago. But i haven’t heard of children getting them. I plan on consulting our pediatrician about this, but was curious if anyone has dealt with this in their toddler. Thanks:)

I am 22 years old and usually have a 28 to 30 day cycle. I am 10 days late for having my period. I had my tonsils removed about a month ago. I have never had surgery before and was very nervous prior to having the surgery. My doctor also put me on Vicodin due to the post surgery pain that I was having. Should being 10 days late for my period be a cause for concern? Is this common? I am not sure what to do.

Hint: Nearly everyone has had this procedure done… some have it done monthly, or even weekly.

It all started about 2 weeks ago. I got an excruciating sore throat which lasted for about a week; that came with loss of appetite, sickness, headaches and flu symptoms like blocked nose and congestion, very disturbed sleep (waking up and hallucinating) and a complete loss of appetite and chronic fatigue.
The throat pain eased off after a week (but it has by no means stopped. it’s still swollen and quite sore) and i began feeling better (because i wasnt doing anything, just resting all day).
What I’m really concerned about, now, (2 weeks since the excruciating throat pain) is that it seems my glands (especially my left one, which i can’t even move my neck properly for) has completely swollen up and is very very painful and the flu symptoms are not subsiding.
I felt awful today and don’t have any energy or appetite again… my fear is that, although i felt better for a short while, i seem to be deteriorating again.
Have been to the doctors 3 times and they said there is no sign of tonsillitis which is good.
So just a brief run down of symptoms; Very sore throat (2 weeks) flu symptoms [severe congestion, headaches, aches and pains, sickness] (2 weeks), chronic tiredness, sickness, nausea and extremely swollen, painful glands (especially on left). anybody have any idea what virus could be causing this?
oh, and i have slightly low blood pressure and a fever.

i’ve been having a lot of trouble with my breath for months now and i couldnt figure out why. i researched a million and one things and i clicked on the link tonsil stones..long story short, i found out they smell sooooooo bad, and they are little white/yellow balls that come up from the throat. So i went to the dentist to get my teeth cleaned and asked about my breath problems. i mentioned the little white balls i was getting and he said that those were tonsil stones and i diagnosed myself. he said that my tonsils were enlarged..which trust me, they are. anyways food easily gets lodged in it when i eat causing the bad breath..another cause it mucus. the only thing tho. is tht when i went on utube.com they searched in their throats and always found them. but when i look for them with a cotton swab, i dont see one and i look everywhere!! so do i have tonsil stones or is it just something else..please give me websites about tonsil stones that may be helpful…thank u soooo much and im so sorry about the long message hahahaa thankss !
