Tonsil Stones Symptoms, Treatments & Removal
has anybody ever had or even heard of tonsil stones?????
When my mom was pregnant she vomitted a lot. And she had an infection in her tonsils. One day, she threw up what looked liked a "rotten-like" tonsils. Now she doesnt have tonsils anymore, but she never when through surgery for it.
My mom and I just want to know if it’s possible or even normal?
Does anyone else here get Tonsil Stones? (If you don’t know what they are….don’t ask. It’s gross).
What do you do to get rid of them/help keep them away? Has anyone here tried the new laser surgery to help smooth the tonsils out?
my throat has been hurting really bad all week. i’m afraid i might have tonsillitis. i’m 26 and i have never had it so i don’t know what it feels like. and i can’t tell if my tonsils are white or not. what are the symptoms of tonsillitis and how do i know if i have it.
Anyone have any advice or tips for a good recovery for an adult getting their tonsils removed?
Does anyone who gets tonsil stones know how to keep them from coming back? Or a possible easy way to get them out. I get them quite frequently and I usually have to dig them out with a toothpick, but it always gags me…. its getting old. Can anyone help?
okay i thought i had a strep throat at first but as i kept researching i found out i had tonsil stones. so i took a flash like and started to poke around my tonsils and in the pockets. i actually saw the tonsil stone (pretty big) and then all of sudden went back in and then got stuck. after a number of attempts to dislodge the stone from my tonsils and after vomiting a few times no luck here. it’s completely stuck. feels as if it’s inside the skin/gums of my tonsils and wont budge. i can see a little white part of it sticking out of my tonsils but i cant force it out. im about to buy a water pik but it seems to stuck that a water pik might not even work. please any help to how i can get this tonsil stone out without getting a tonsillectomy done because i dont have insurance. its getting really aggravating when trying to swallow to point im about to rip my tonsils out of my throat. please help.
I’ve been suffering from a number of symptoms over the weekend and this morning I went to see a doctor, who diagnosed me with (acute?) tonsillitis. He’s given me some medicine which has helped with the fever, chills and queasiness– but in the intervening time, my tonsils have started bleeding in earnest. I’m not finding that on the list of common tonsillitis symptoms. Should I go see a doctor again as soon as possible, or would it be best to wait unil my next appointment on Thursday?
I’m supposed to have my tonsils removed but they got infected again proior to surgery…will I have to postpone surgery until the infection is gone?
Hello all,
I am 23 and was recently scheduled for removal of tonsils.
I will be having surgery to have my tonsils and adenoids removed in about a month and I would like some feedback from some adults that have gotten them removed, the reason I say that is because the healing process is different from a child to an adult.
I would like to know how your surgery went, how long your operation lasted, how you felt after waking up, and how your healing/recovering was and how long it lasted.
My ENT doctor has told me that I should expect to be down for a full two weeks, is this reasonable?
Thank you so much for your help!
