I woke up on friday with a really bad fever and of course I was freezing cold and my whole body hurt. I ended up having a headache most of the day but it wasn’t excruciating pain or anything, and I had some foot pain near my heel. My back was also hurting a lot my upper back hurt a little but it was mostly my lower back. I wasn’t real concerned about the back pain because my lower back has been hurting for about a month (probably from gymnastics), but my joints were all hurting and I felt worse than I ever have with a fever. I had trouble sleeping that night and woke up every 1-3 hours. At #am I gave up on trying to sleep and took a bath to see if that would help, which it didn’t, but I did manage to kill 40 minutes. I finally went to sleep at around 5:30 or 6:00. When I woke up on Saturday I felt somewhat better. I wasn’t freezing and I only stayed under blankets or wore long sleeves about half the time, but I also had new symptoms. My back pain had worsened but it had moved primarily to my upper back, and then instead of back pain I got pain on the back of my right shoulder. The shoulder pain was very sharp and painful and would come and go. My throat was also hurting some and my taste buds were off but I had a bit of an appetite (which was not the case of Friday) and I had a mild earache. Another thing (probably the worst) was the headaches. They were downright horrible (and I do have a pretty high pain tolerance). Every time I got up the head aches would get really bad, so bad that I would hold the sides of my head. The head aches were a little less severe if I got up slower, but not much and my neck started to hurt too, even from just turning my head and my foot pain from Friday had worsened. The sore throat got progressively worse throughout the day till it hurt to swallow and the joint pain was still there, and my joints were cracking more than usual (which they did on Friday too btw). By 8pm I was getting awful pain just from speaking and if I said more than a few words It would get so bad that I’d cover my mouth immediately after cause it hurt so bad. (Not sure why covering my mouth helped but it did.) Around 11 I could feel mucus developing in my throat. At around 1:30 am I showered and afterward I coughed up the mucus which was extremely disgusting. It was really thick, thick enough that I could have picked it up if I had wanted to, which I did not. It also looked like it had some blood in it, not a lot but I could definitely see red, it was thin though like ribbons, which seems strange to me. My throat felt a Little better after the mucus incident but it still feels like its being slashed by razors. I looked in my mouth and my tonsils look pretty swollen and red, I tried to take a pic for you guys but I was not successful, so I guess you’ll just have to live with my description. You didn’t really want to see that anyway, did you? I can’t sleep again tonight, I knew it was hopeless so I gave up after an hour of trying. I am a little tired and I certainly would like to sleep but it just doesn’t seem to be working. So far none of the symptoms have really changed since Saturday and my throat has never hurt like this before, although I often have pain swallowing when I’m sick, but its never been this painful. I did some research and found out I have pretty much all the symptoms of tonsillitis. If you actually read this whole thing, you’re highly awesome. =] Sorry it was so long. Anyway its almost 5am and I’m waiting for some good answers. What do you think it is and what should I do about it, oh and any tips on how to get to sleep would be great?

): tonsil stones or something else?

I woke up this morning with a bad sore throat, head ache, muscle ache, & I saw a white spot on my right tonsil so I Googled it & it said it could be tonsil stones but they didn’t say anything about bad head aches or yellow line type things in the back of my throat. I took a cotton swan & I did remove a hard whitish/yellowish clump from my tonsil but I also have a yellow line in the back of my throat & two bumps behind my tonsils. I’ve been having similar symptoms for the last two weeks so I’ve been taking zinc & vitamin c & it seemed to have gone away but I just started getting these symptoms again. So does this sound like tonsil stones or something else? Thanks (:

I'm losing my faith in God?

Hey, I’m Kenzi, I’m 13. And I’ve loved God my whole life.

But; I’m losing my hearing, when you clean out my ears with q-tips my hearing feels horrid, like I’m just 2 notches to being death. I’ve prayed, and prayed, and even cried, that I could be able to hear. But, God’s not letting me, obviously. Now I’m sitting here, wipping my tears, and still can’t hear good, really badly.

Just a few days ago I healed from my Tonsil and Adnoid removal surgery. Let me tell you, that was horrible. Now I cannot hear, and it’s like ugh. I mean, it hurts, when I cough, sneeze, yawn, etc, and I really cannot here hear now, so Merry Christmas.

I’m pretty lucky I’m not deaf, yet…blind, and etc. But I think I’ll be disabled soon enough :(

Is God testing my faith? I’m starting to scream at him, say he’s not real, etc.
I feel like he’s just a lie. Which I know he’s not. But it seems like it right now.

Do I have a throat infection or something?

I have been having a sore throat for almost 4 days now, I have been getting constant headaches since I got a sore throat. My tonsils look red and kinda big. There’s also white little balls that I can feel on one of them. It really hurts and it’s difficult to swallow. The first day I got my sore throat I also had chills but no fever =/ I’ve taken medicine for sore throat and headaches. It helps temporarily but the pain always returns. Any idea what it could be? Thanks.

Are my symptoms possibly from an std like HIV?

I researched on the internet about my symptoms and was not happy to find that some are similar to people with HIV. I had a sexual encounter and 3 days later I came down with tonsillitis. I left the state and went on vacation so I just assumed I had caught something on the plane. If so, I became symptomatic in less than 24 hours. Is that possible? The girl I was with never did get sick so I didn’t think I caught it from her. After I got home I came down with a sinus infection and have had it ever since, about 2 weeks total now. The internet says some people with HIV get soar throats and a dry cough at first, sometimes within a couple days. Am I being paranoid? Are my circumstances just an unlucky coincidence?
