Is my tonsil infection serious?
I do not have insurance so I went to see a walk in doctor three days ago who was rather awful. He prescribed me some sort of antibiotic that starts with an E, because I am allergic to penicillin and amoxicillin. My tonsils have been like this for about 5 days now, it just appeared out of nowhere. Prior to this, I have had tonsil stones for like four years now. Anyways, since taking the antibiotic (it’s been three days) my tonsils have gotten worse. (The one in the picture that is smaller is larger now). When I googled tonsillitis the pictures don’t look this white and stuff. I was wondering if maybe this is an emergency.

Oh and I have two lumps by my ear and one on my neck all of a sudden. My research is telling me that this is lymph nodes. Does that mean I getting even worse? What do these usually do to people?

Erythromycin was prescribed to you. But need to be tested for strep (bacterial ) and Mono (viral). Your tonsils and throat are red as well. so tonsillitis can look like this if the bacterial/viral infection thats causing this will make the tonisls look that way.
The lumps you feel in the jaw area (neck, ) those are ur lymph nodes, adn they do swell when u have an infection.
