Is it worth it to remove tonsils to get rid tonsil stones?

I’ve had tonsil stones for almost 3 months now, and it pisses me off! I’ve read articles online and websites trying to sell their product to remove tonsil stones. Do any of these products work? Also, what do I do to prevent them? So this brings me to the main question, how do I get rid of tonsil stones permanently? Is it worth it to get your tonsils surgically removed to get rid of tonsil stones permanently?

well i’ve had tonsil stones since i was 12 (i’m now 23).
my ENT said that the products out there people want you to buy pretty much tell you want you already know and there is no real way to prevent or get rid of them for good other than removing the tonsils.
i just had my tonsils out on friday cuz of my tonsil stones and while i’m having a crappy recovery like most people do i don’t think i’ll regret having it done in the long run.
Your tonsils is made of lymph tissue which helps to screen and fight off infectious organism that may pass through the oral route.
Try to weigh the comforts of having your tonsil stones removed permanently and being cautious and extra careful for what passes in to your mouth for a lifetime.
