its been 8 days after surgery and i ran out of pain medicine and someone told me to take ibruprofen for the pain. The reason i’m asking this is because i was reading were it said not to take aspirin because it could cause excess bleeding in the throat and could be deadly and i was seeing if ibuprofen would be safe. Thank you

I have heard, but cannot confirm, that Ibuprofen is an aspirin derivative. I wouldn’t take it before consulting with your physician. But then, wouldn’t he have been the one to ask in the first place?
No, take cocaine; numbs the mouth.
yes.it is not aspirin nor contain aspirin.
I just had a tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy and the day after I was taking 800mg Motrin that is prescribed for my back. The Oxycodone alone wasn’t enough for the pain so I just kept taking my Motrin along with it and I don’t feel any pain. I’m sure that I have no adverse reactions to the mixture because I am used to taking 800mg of Motrin everyday, so I don’t recommend taking that much.
