Is having tonsil stones a part of having mono?

My boyfriend hasn’t been diagnosed with mono just yet because he still needs to take a blood test but he said that he coughed up a tonsil stone on his right tonsil yesterday and i’m wondering if he could be sick with something else besides mono?

The two aren’t connected however he could have both things going on.
tonsil stones are common in mono. Of course they are symptoms of other diseases too, but it is unlikely that the poor boy has contracted two different diseases with similar symptoms.
I had tonsil stones, but I didn’t have mono. I had tonsillitis, and I had to have my tonsils taken out.
