I had my tonsils removed two years ago. I was 16, so I wasn’t young like most people are (they usually remember it not hurting).
It takes a while. After about a week, I was able to leave the house and play my viola, but I still couldn’t eat much of anything.
DON’T eat ice cream. My doctor (considered one of the best — Dr. Holt) told me that dairy products can line your throat with gunk and slow down your recovery. Eat popsicles instead.
You’ll be sleeping a lot of the time (they really dope you up) so you won’t remember being bored much the first couple days. After that, just read or watch TV — you won’t have the energy to do anything else.
A few weeks. But it really depends on the person. Just take it easy and rest. Enjoy the ice cream
I believe you mean recuperate. I’ve been told about a week.

IF you are under the age of 15 probably about a week. Otherwise it could take longer if you are an adult… Just lay low, and don’t eat anything rough (chips nachos) You will heal faster the if you drink lots of clear liquids that are not too acidic- lemonade or oJ-
It only took me about a few. It’s not like you are incapacitated in any way. I was really sore for a week and then just had a sore throat (similar to the feeling from having the flu). No biggie, just relax=)
DONT WORRY IT SHOULD NOT TAKE NO LONGER THAN 2 WEEKS TOP DEPENDS ON HOW FAST YOUR BODY CAN HEAL ITSELF.
2 wks is the standard answer. It depends on how old you are. I had mine out when I was 31 and had some complications. My daughter had hers out about 3 wks after me and she recovered faster but it was still about 2 wks before she was back to normal.
