How is Tonsil Surgery?

I am 10 years old and I am going to get my tonsils removed Thursday and I am so scared. If you have gotten this done tell me the whole story please begginning to end. I am begging you. I have been told by everybody that the pain is really bad and I am in tears because of how scared I am.

You will be fine! The younger you are the easier it is. I had my tonsils and adnoids removed when I was 26. I only needed 2 weeks off of work. The end of the 1st week is the worst b/c that’s when the scabs come off and it hurts the worst, but don’t worry they should give you some sort of pain medicine, probably a liquid kind in your case since you are young. By the middle of the 2nd week I felt fine and wasn’t in anymore pain. I think since you are so young, you will recouperate a lot faster.
