		<description>The vast majority of the time Tonsillitis will clear up by itself. It&#039;s usually caused by a viral infection and virus&#039;s do not respond to antibiotics. There are very rarely complications. Tonsillitis should go away by itself withing 2-3 days, you only really need to see your Doctor if symptoms get significantly worse or persist longer than 4 days. 

In the meantime push fluid intake, take paracetamol for any pain and do NOT gargle with Aspirin as this will irritate the already sore lining of your throat. Do not gargle with salt water either- this is dangerous.</description>
