How do you treat Tonsillitis?

I’m pretty sure I have it, although I don’t have all of the symptoms, I reckon I’ve got the main ones. I’m travelling to London tomorrow and don’t have time to visit my doctor before I leave so I’m hoping somebody could come up with some suggestions to treating it with the use of antibiotics!

The vast majority of the time Tonsillitis will clear up by itself. It’s usually caused by a viral infection and virus’s do not respond to antibiotics. There are very rarely complications. Tonsillitis should go away by itself withing 2-3 days, you only really need to see your Doctor if symptoms get significantly worse or persist longer than 4 days.
In the meantime push fluid intake, take paracetamol for any pain and do NOT gargle with Aspirin as this will irritate the already sore lining of your throat. Do not gargle with salt water either- this is dangerous.
nope no antibiotics its not an infection. its an inflammation. you just drink lots of hot liquids..good thing ur goin 2 london. tea time!
Purchase Dequadin it used to be on prescription but you can buy it now in the local chemist.
