How do you get rid of tonsil stones without gagging yourself?

I am sick and have had a humungous tonsil stone on the back of my throat for a few days. It won’t go away and is making my breath stink really bad. I gag if I try and get it out and no matter how much I gargle it won’t go away. It is the biggest I have ever seen and is really gross. Any suggestions??

Maybe use a long q-tip like they have in doctor’s offices, but wet it first so the cotton strands don’t irritate your throat. Or you could try spraying it with a water pik. That’s what works for my boyfriend.
Go. To. Your. Doctor. He’s the only one that can get it out without nasty side effects.
