How can you treat tonsillitis?

I’m 14 and i went to the doctors earlier today since i’ve had tonsillitis symptoms since yesterday morning. I’m hoping to go the college tomorow and i want to feel better for it. Does anybody know any quick methods to help get rid of my tonsillitis?

Charlotte- Treatment of your tonsillitis depends upon the cause – either a virus or a bacteria such as beta-Strep. If your doctor did a Quick-Strep test in his office, and if it was positive, he probably started you on antibiotics which may take 2 days before you feel better. If so, take all the antibiotics prescribed no matter how fast you feel better. If the test was negative, then take extra fluids, like tea with soothing honey and/or throat lozenges with zinc and honey purchased over the counter without any needed prescription.
