I want to know if you by choice or by doctors recommendation removed your tonsils because of tonsil stones and did it work out for the good?

I would do it. It makes my breath gross when they are there and I squeeze them out. It’s annoying.
But the doctors don’t think it’s necessary if there’s nothing else wrong with them, due to them being such good filters for infection.
I’m still thinking about doing it anyway!
My son was 5 years old when he had tonsillectomy. His tonsils were swollen and had hard time swallowing food. The swollen glands made him snore loud when he sleeps. First he was given antibiotics but it didn’t work and it was getting worse and worse. The Doctor then decided to surgically removed the tonsils.
After two weeks, my son fully recovered and felt a lot better.
