When my youngest had his tonsils and adenoids out he latched onto puddings, applesauce and yogurt. He also drank the "slushes". Also, if you have a lot of what feels like mucus in your throat get chewable vitamin C and left that dissolve in your mouth before eating or trying to drink. The C will cut the mucus and your body will just expel any vitamin C it doesn't need. Hope this helps you. I know it's miserable.

I was really young when I had mine out. I do remember eating lots of ice cream and popsicles. Soup broth that's not to hot. Cold stuff felt the best and remember to take it easy. You may not realize it but you could pop a stich and end up back in the hospital.

I know what was surprisingly NOT good! Tomato products! My favorite, although it got boring, was apple sauce. Good luck!

Ice cream or anything with dairy will create mucus -- stay away from that.

Water is a good idea, even if it hurts. You need to keep yourself hydrated. You could also try gatorade which has some salts necessary to your body, and pedialyte which is similar.

Slightly warm chicken broth or veggie broth, the salt and body temp will feel good.

jello - not bad, but let it melt in your mouth a bit

Baby food! Especially bananas, plums, pears or anything with tapioca -- its bland and soothing, Stay away from peaches -- they are kind of acid and can sting.

cream of wheat as you get a little better, although also forms mucus so be cautious.

tiny pastina like little pasta dots. a dab of butter and a little salt.

Feel better!

You have a good list already, I would also recommend applesauce, and pudding. Not right away though.
My friend got her tonsils out, and decided that pasta was a good idea... AND.. it wasn't. So... stay away from solid foods. It might seem like a big "duh" but some people still think it's Ok.
Don't rule out what has been recommended, and have something hard!

With the dairy comments about mucus, if you still want ice cream, Soy Delicious has a vegan soy ice cream. Chocolate Velvet is WONDERFUL, and though it's a little more on the expensive side, it's so worth it.
Soy Ice cream MAY seem gross, but that kind; OMG! Tastes just like frozen brownies, I swear.
