You’re taking clinda every 8 hrs. It’s effective for strep infections. The most common adverse effect is nausea. The less common effects are vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain and rash. The life-threatening adverse effects are pseudomembranous colitis, transient leukopenia, thrombocytopenia and anaphylaxis. You’re unlikely to experience these. Take the capsules with a full glass of water.
If there’s diarrhea, a less common adverse effect, don’t treat it yourself. Report this, especially this, or any adverse reactions to the prescribing physician.
And I’ve never taken clinda myself but have given it to patients.
