They use anesthesia so no technically the removal doesn’t hurt but it may hurt after.
Yes, they both do.
Yes
yes… but ummmmmm ice cream?
YEAH!
yes
idk
tonsil didnt hurt that I remember and I got to eat lots of icecream and the doctor showed them to me but wouldnt let me take them home.
It depends if Chuck Norris is your doctor.
It doesn’t hurt when you have it done because they use anesthetic, although there is some mild discomfort for a short while afterward until you have fully healed.
You’re going to be heavily asleep during the operation(s) :]
The aftermath is not as bad as some transplant, of course. You feel sore, weak, tired. They’re both not very hard surgeries. Very minor.
Of course…
But in the process of the operation…
Use anesthesia…
well sure but any surgery is going to hurt but you’ll live!
yes
Tonsil hurts a little when you swallow. Just eat a lot of ice cream!
I had my tonsils and wisdom teeth out.
My wisdom teeth (boney impacted) hurt sooo much more than tonsils.
Well I got my tonsils removed a couple of years ago and when they out u to sleep everything is fine but when u wake up it hurst . Eatting ice cream and pop cicles help!
yea. i had my tonsils removd. my throat hurt after i woke up. bt it went away quickly. ur suposd to hav ice cream an apple juice. lol
on the tonsil part i didnt really have much pain just take the pain pills they give you and eat something cold every once in a while when it hurts
Yeah they both
My friend has had his appendix removed
he said he could’nt walk
threw up alot
and afterwards his stomach hurt like crazy
and on the 28th i will be getting my tonsils removed but the docter said it feels like a really bad sore throat
so thats about it
Honey… They are SURGERY… If they didn’t hurt then there would be something wrong with your nervous system…
You will hurt afterward because you will be waiting for the big slice in your side to heal…
They will give you pain meds so you will be fine but there is no such thing as a "Pain Free" surgery.
I had my tonsils out a few months back and it was THE WORST THING EVER. And dher, it hurts.
Ice cream doesn’t help either…It makes it harder to swollow and to breathe. They’ll be living off popsicles for about three weeks…
You are under anesthesia during the procedure, so it doesn’t hurt till it’s over and you wake up. Then it hurts. Both of them are painful to recover from.
Let’s see… they take a knife, or burning hot laser, and cut into your flesh.
Unless you have some sort of nervous disorder where you can’t feel pain… I’d say yes, it probably will hurt.
But then again… that’s why medical science invented the miracle of Vicodin.
TONSIL:
it does for the following two weeks and after surgery you cant talk but other than that its good
Any type of surgery is going to cause some discomfort. Its not extremely painful, but you will be uncomfortable for a short period of time. I know the older you get, the more painful a tonsillectomy is though!!
Yes both of them will hurt but you won’t be able to feel them removing them because you will definately be under for the operation. You will be sore for a while in both areas because of the slicing involved. Be sure NOT to eat anything red after you get your tonsils removed because you won’t be able to tell if your throat is bleeding or if its just tomato sauce. Hope this helps.
i dont know about appendix but tonsil removal doesnt at all. they just knock you out and before you know it you awake without tonsils. only thing is it hurts for a few weeks after you get it done.
Iv’e never had my appendix removed but I have had my tonsils removed. Durring the operation you don’t feel anything because you are asleep. But after the operation if just feels like you have a very bad sore throat for about a a few days to a week. But on the plus side you get to eat a lot of ice cream and popsicals and things like that. Mmmmmm!
I had my tonsils removed, and actually I wasnt allowed to eat ice cream because it creates mucous in your mouth and it can interfere with healing. I actually couldnt eat for about 9 days, so that aspect was no fun. I am sure appendix operations are much more painful. Depends on the person though.
If you need to get your tonsils out, trust me, the discomfort you experience in the days after the operation are NOTHING compared to the pain and suffering they were causing you before.
tl;dr: Tonsilectomy is uncomfortable afterwards, but worth it.
