Does a regrown tonsil surgery hurt as much?
I just turned 51 years old and had my tonsils and adenoids removed in 1961. The doctor had left tissue on my right side and a tonsil "pocket" grew back many years ago. My ENT scheduled surgery this Tuesday to remove it and a questionable tumor in my throat. I have been on the computer all day looking up adult tonsil surgery and reading all the horror stories. Will my "regrown" tonsil removal hurt as much as an adult regular tonsil/adenoid removal? Is there anything I can do to control clotting or bleeding entering my stomach?
Thank you for all reasonable answers.. ![]()

You should be fine in three days to two weeks. I can’t imagine hemorrhaging into your stomach….and I have yet to have a claimant file disability due to tonsil surgery. I would be more concerned about throat cancer.
