I have tonsillitis I’ve had it for a few days but had no serious symptoms until today. About 2 days ago I was with my boyfriend we were kissing and I gave him oral. Today he just told me he has a temperature and a sore throat so I’m pretty sure he has it. However is it like herpes? Can he have it on his penis? Please help.

Please help me. I am in considerable pain and the ibuprofen I have been taking has stopped working. I am planning to visit the doctors tomorrow but this is the earliest opportunity I have had, despite having symptoms for just over a week now. I have an incredibly painful throat, swollen glands, ear ache, gum irritation and a headache which comes and goes. I’m terrified it is glandular fever as I understand I’ll need a blood test taken and was really hoping someone who has experienced something similar could help. Thanks

I have white or yellow patches on my tonsils, they are NOT swollen, (I don’t think so anyway, I looked at a picture of tonsillitis, and theirs was much more swollen.) I’m not sure if it’s tonsillitis because I don’t really have any more symptoms except sore throat, painful or difficult swallowing, chills, and a headache. Those symptoms come and go though. What could it be?

I was diagnosed with tonsillitis last friday and am on antibiotics and stierods. They didnt seem to be helping so I went back to the doctor who then ordered a monospot test. My results came back positive, but i dont feel horribly ill like they say you do with mono. Im just incredibly tired right now. Will my symptoms get worse?

I think i have acute tonsillitis my tonsils are a little swollen and it has tht white yellowish stuff coming out of them. but they are not sore, i have had it since i was 13. when i went to the doc she said i just had irregular tonsils, im 17 now and i still have them and i googled it and abunch of websites that had info for tonsillitis the only symptoms i have are swollen tonsils with junk coming out of them so do i have irregular tonsils or tonsillitis?

Does anybody know (BESIDES GOING TO GO GET TESTED) what MOST COMMON symptoms are for Tonsillitis and HIV? cause all that i’m experiencing is Sore body and muscles and a sore throat…. Someone please help me out, i’m getting to stressed and i hope i find the right answer on here. (when i had sex, i was the one penetrating, and it didnt even go in all the way(head only) and it only lasted about 2 minutes. not even?) I dont think I have HIV, but the thought of it and all these symptoms ive saw on the internet, is making me nervous, because im too scared to get tested cause im only 16… And I feel like if i dont get tested itll just get worse, and Ill just die……… Someone please help me with answers.

last week my tonsils was swolling they was so bad they had pus on them I had fever body aches chiilis tierdnnes are these tonsillitis symptoms?

I have had cold and flu symptoms on and off for about 4 weeks if not more, first i had a serious case of tonsillitis which had me bed bound for 5 days. then i felt fine for 5 days, then got the cold aches and pains again, then felt fine for a few days, then got tonsillitis again, felt fine for 6 days and i woke up again this morning as if i had been hit with a bus and sore head.

2 courses of anti biotics and keeping warm and taking supplements of vit c, how can i still be gettin this, shoul i be worried?

Okay, so I had swollen tonsils starting on Monday with patches of puss on them and it hurt to swallow dearly and my breath smelled.
And by the 2-3rd day with having swollen tonsils I developed a fever and my breath smelled horrid!
The 3rd-4th day the puss was gone from my tonsils and they were just swollen but I had a headache and what felt like an earache.
5th day, Yesterday, I went to the doctor and she had told me it was just a viral infection or it wasn’t I don’t remember and she swabbed my tonsils and put it on this little thing she said if it was blue it meant something but if it was red AND blue it meant something else. But it had came out just blue.

I thought it was tonsillitis but she didn’t say that’s what it was…although I had all the symptoms?
Also, my saliva seems so smell bad. My breath doesn’t seem to smell anymore but when I lick my lips I can smell the stench that I smelled from the couple first days of my illness. And when I lick my hand and smell the saliva it smells bad.

Ok so ive had tonsillitis for a week and I ran out of pills so my mom called my doctor to prescribe somemore. But I was talking to my friends mom which is a doctor and she said I have pharyngitis and I researched it and I have all the symptoms that it said and it also said I can get pharyngitis if tonsillitis is not properly treated. It’s also said pharyngitis is life threatening but my mom won’t take me to the doctors and I’m 17 so I don’t have my own insurance card and she keeps telling me I’ll be fine. What should I do?
