I have a moderate sized sore/bump on my glossopalatine arch (fisrt arch in the mouth, the one that comes before the tonsils). It doesn’t look like a regular canker sore, and since it’s not on the tonsils it’s not tonsillitis (…right?). I also have symptoms of a cold and sometimes chills that started the same day I noticed this bump.
Any ideas on what it could be? It hurts. Makes swallowing painful. And there’s just one nump.

about three months ago i had tonsillitis and i found out that i had it about two days after i kissed someone. i hadnt talked to him in a while and we recently started again. we made out on friday and i woke up this morning with the same symptoms as i had when i had tonsillitis. He doesn’t seem to have it so why do i keep getting it when i kiss him? is this a freakishly weird coincidence or should i get my tonsills removed? any suggestions or info?

OK well.. i licked a bag that was in my purse and i guess my purse is very.. dirty (don’t ask why I did it i learned my lesson of being stupid) like 7 or 8 hours later my throat started to ..itch like i was getting a cold. The next morning my neck was like sore on the right when i swallowed and nose was stuffy .. and sneezed a couple times and coughed, and i think i had a fever because of the ..dizziness i guess? but after yesterday i stopped sneezing now im congested and it hurts to swallow but.. it doesn’t hurt alot just a slight pain or soreness if you will.. is it Allergies? Common Cold? Flu? Strep Throat? Tonsillitis? What do the symptoms look like ?? Should I see a Doctor?
Just checked: I cant see anything swollen .. Tonsillitis is out? and Strep?
No chills.. and my voice is leaving me …

When i was around 11 years old, i got my tonsils removed. Now i’m almost 15 and i have the symptoms (somewhat) of tonsillitis, but i had my tonsils removed quite some time ago. What do I do? And if it’s not tonsillitis, what could it be? I have a sore throat and headaches. I’m dizzy, and I’m light headed. Not to mention I’m extreamly tired all the time.. But that’s really nothing new. And I know it’s not mono.. i’ve already had that before. So what could it be? Help!

i’ve had tonsilitis before and what i’ve got atm feels abit like it but i’ve got terrible headaches and a fever and i’m exhausted the whole time, which apparently are symptoms of glandular fever as well and as i can get a doctors appointment untill the weekend i though i might ask some questions,
can you get tonsillitis more than once?
what are the differences between tonsillitis and mono?
what’s the cure, antibiotics or do you just wait for it to go away?
and how do doctors tell you have mono, like blood tests or what?

K my question is I had taken antibiotics prescribed to me about a month ago for tonsillitis, I didn’t finish them like i was supposed to . Well now a month later I have mononucleosis and the symptoms for tonsillitis are back again. Would it be safe for me to take the antibiotics again?

my throat hurts so much, i can’t stop coughing. Everyone’s annoyed by it, especially at night, but i don’t know what to do to make it stop. I’m coughing now as i type this. I think i have tonsilitis
I drink herbal tea, and exercise regularly.
so what are the symptoms of tonsillitis?
