OK I’m trying to figure out if I have tonsillitis. I want to know what symptoms other people had when they got Tonsillitis, how long did it last, and did taking out your tonsils help?

My symptoms are swollen uvula, sore throat, hard to talk, hard to breath even though my tonsils are small, and the sore throat has been constant for 4 months. The sore throat never goes away. Also in the past 3 years I have never had a fever. Again I’m trying to figure out if I have Tonsillitis and don’t talk about doctors to me because only 1 of 4 said it’s from my tonsils.

i have just finished a course of penicillin tablets prescribed by my GP but my tonsils are still slightly swollen and i am still getting symptoms of tonsillitis such as a funny kind of itchy from my ear right down my throat. what wil happen now? thanks fo any feedback much appreciated

I have red bumps on my tongue, my throat has been hurting really bad for about a week, it hurts when I swallow, I drool a lot and I have to sleep with my mouth open because I can’t breathe with it closed. Do I have the symptoms?

Since yesterday, i’ve had a really weird feeling around my tonsil area. Whenever I swallow, it doesn’t hurt, but it feels like…numb? and it’s just not normal. It feels like there is mucus stuck on there, and i try swallowing to get it out, but it doesn’t really do anything. I tried looking into them and they’re not really red, but theres like a pale yellowish tone to it. What do you think this is?

Went to the doctors on tuesday and they told me ive got tonsillitis they have given me antibiotics but they aren’t really working yet.

What are some home remedies I can do , like things to help the pain of my throat and get my fever .

I think I might be getting tonsillitis. I have a little cold since Saturday and I’m getting a bad cough now. I have a sore throat, especially in the tonsil area and my tonsils hurt as well. I have trouble swallowing because the tonsils hurt too bad and when I talk as well. I also have an earache in both ears and get a headache every now and then. My mum said that if it continues today then we will go to the doctor tomorrow morning. I had Nurofen for children but that didn’t help with the earache, well it did but for about 4 minutes.

what are the symptoms of tonsillitis. I have difficulty swallowing and a very sore throat, do i have it?

I have been to the doctor, and she doesn’t know if I have glandular fever or tonsillitis. She is however treating me for tonsillitis, which she thinks is the most likely option. She has put me on strong antibiotics, pseudoephidrine, and nurofen.

I have these symptoms:
Extremely sore throat and Swollen glands in the throat
Puss on throat glands and flem on back of throat and some in chest
Very sore neck, and sore muscles all over my body
Some fatigue
Loss of appetite
Headaches
Blocked up nose, ears, sinus
Night sweats
fever

In my experience, these antibiotics or especially the other medications (because I have been taking them for longer) should have done something by now, but nothing is happening.

Is there anyway to tell if it if glandular fever or tonsillitis and can glandular fever be treated? How long should I take to rest?
