Ok my bf is having surgery soon…but he is a carrier meaning he has strep throat very badly and this year it almost killed him. He is getting his tonsils taken out here August 10th and I won’t be there! We both know that the surgery is more riskey cause on top of being a carrier he has overgrown tonsils. He had adult tonsils at the age of 7! We he be ok? I am scared and I won’t be there he is in another state…

preferabley someone in the Spokane area or Seattle area but I cant seem to find one

Recently I found out I will more than likely have to have my right ear operated on.
Also the doctor suggested I get my Tonsils took out. I am 23 and still have my tonsils

Now I have never had surgery and I am will admit the thought makes me a little nervous.

i just had surgery done on Friday. I had it done behind my jaw. Tomorrow (monday) i have to have surgery done on one of my tonsils. What is some advice that you have for me? what sort of things should i eat? i haven’t felt like eating much and i dont know why. tomorrow i need to go the entire day (5 PM) without food, i think that this will be easy, but then i tried to do that today and i feel like eating, but i dont. is this wierd?

i just need advice and i need to know wat sort of stuff that i can eat today and what will help make me feel fuller tomorrow without eating from midnight….thank you very much

I am going to see my boyfriend today after his deviated septum surgery and I didnt know if there was something that a person who just had that surgery may crave or want

(ex. after having my tonsils out I wanted Popsicles).

I dont want to show up empty handed but a balloon may be a bit corny

I smoked weed last sunday on the 16, totally forgetting that I was getting my tonsils taken out on the 26th; Will the weed mess with any of the drugs that they give me for my surgery, like anastasia?

i know they put a tube down your throat during regular surgery so you can breathe but do they do that when the surgery is in your mouth, like getting your tonsils out or wisdom teeth? wouldnt it just be in the way?

I am 16 and have to get my tonsils out. My big problem is I don’t like going to doctors or hospital and I dread needles.

My Mom said the doc prefers that I fall asleep in the room before they take me for surgery. That way I won’t freak out going into an operating room.

My Mom tells me that a nurse will give me some medicine an hour before the surgery. She said it is going to make me real sleepy. Then she told me that it is a needle, like bummer.

Why can’t I take a pill or oral medicine?
Does anyone know what they give u?
Is it like they put an IV in your arm?

I won’t stay still for an IV as they need several people to hold me when I get
a blood test.

Anything that u know or suggestions on this would help.
I know it is probably acting like a big baby but needles scare me and I remember some of them hurting as a kid.

Also if they want to put a needle in my upper arm I know natural reaction I will jerk my arm away. I did that with a tetanus shot and the needle could have bent. I don’t know if it can break but the nurse said the needle could have bend.

my throat feels weird sometimes, like when i swallow it dosnt hurt its just really annoying cause it feels like somethings stuck… I dont know if i need to get my tonsils out and i am quite paranoid
