Ok guys…ive had these annoying white things.,known as tonsil stones..and now ive scheduled an appointment wit my doctor..im visiting the doctor next wednesday and ive told my mom about that problem..she said she doesnt care if they remove my tonsils by surgery just as long as im well and theyre gone..ive been getting these nasty annoying things a lot lately..last one i had was about 4 weeks ago but now theres one hiding in the back of my mouth but i cant reach it..i try to but this fails..all that happens is me ending up gagging in a failed attempt..its unreachable and it looks so nasty..i get them nasty things a lot now…should i keep my tonsils or have a tonsillectomy performed on me??,help anyone?!?!?!?
Also if i have tonsillectomy,will my tonsils grow back???

woke up today coughed so hard she vomited. will tthis effect her surgery on monday?

Has any one had the surgery for obstructive sleep apnea. Were thay cut your soft pallet, your uvula, and tonsils. If you have had it or know some one that has. Did it help. And what was the recovery. Did it change your voice. And any think els I should know before I go get cut up.

Im getting my tonsils out pretty soon and I wanna prepare for whats comming. I already have a stock pile of water, gatorade, and pain releivers, but since the doctor told me its about 2 weeks recovery, im wondring what I can eat. Do I have to get my mom to buy me baby food?????? Can I eat anything at all???? (My friend got her tonsils out and she said that apple sauce is good.) Thank you for your help

Our little guy is on day 5 post surgery but has had a couple of night terrors where he is screaming, flailing, and doesn’t seem to respond to our talking to, comforting, or anything for that matter.It lasts up to 20 minutes and we can’t find any documentation on WHY this is happening. Does anyone know why exactly these occur, and what helps. Is this due to pain? Post anesthsia? or What?

Im getting my tonsils removed in 2 weeks and im just wondering if I have to be completly naked under the gown??? Would they let me wear my bra and underwear????? And do I have to get undressed in the room with my mom and the nurse watching????? Please help!!!!

I heard it’s addicting so I’m kind of scared. Is there anything to be worried about with taking that drug?

I just got my tonsils out and i want to know what i can eat while i recover. Also, i want to know, when will my throat stop hurting?

Its now the 9th day after surgery and my throat is still a little sore and can’t hardly eat any solid foods, mostly just liquids. When do you think i will completely recover and everything turn back to normal? I am starting to miss all of my favorite foods but i cant eat anything! and i’ve lost 12 pounds while going through the recovery process, so i guess that’s good.

In other words, how long is the average recovery time after tonsil surgery for adults?

Painful recovery. I do have sleep apnea and am using a c-pap machine. Should I go through with the surgery or cancel?
