I had my tonsils taken out at the beginning of march and I’ve healed completely, but lately I’ve been coughing up a lot of mucus/drainage. Sometimes it’s even a little chunky. (Gross, I know. I’m sorry.) My dad thinks I’m sick, but I don’t feel sick.
Is this normal or should I make an appointment with my doctor?

I just had my tonsils removed 5 days ago. Although this has been an EXTREMELY painful experience I am losing weight from not eating (because of the pain and meds). I eat when I can but I still lost 6 pounds since the surgery.
My question is will I gain this weight BACK (and maybe more) when I’m all healed? I would like to keep this weight off and start exercising and eating well when I’m better seeing as how I am overweight.
If anyone knows if I will gain the weight back or keep it off, or if others have similar experiences let me know please!!!

Last week I got the surgery done and ever since then I feel like crap. I got my tonsils removed AND something in my nose. Blood clots were all up in my nose and I was bleeding all the time. Luckily my doctor kinda fixed that. Now I’m just dealing with the sharp pain in my throat. What should I do? It’s like all white back there, with hints of black stuff. Like when I swallow, it hurts and same thing when I drink liquids. When I drink stuff, the pain will last for a good 30 sec. I usually gather up my saliva and swallow at the same time and/or spit it in a cup.
I mean, is this normal? Should this be happening? How long will the process take?
