Who does John have a cause against?

John underwent minor surgery for the removal of his tonsils. Serious complications developed when he was administered penicillin, to which he was allergic. the doctor denied responsibility because he did not know about he allergy.

Does this seem that John has a cause of action against the doctor or the hospital? Was John partly responsible for failing to voluntarily to tell the doctor of his allergy?

trying to come off narcotics please help me?

I’ ve been taking Tylenol 3’s for 6 months due to lower back pain. Then Vicodin since my tonsils got really inflammed, so had those out then they gave me roxicet and oxycontin 10 mg. for pain for my tonsils removal, since the vicodin didnt take all my pain away. Now i do have 1 oxy. left and 4 perc’s left. but refuse to take them since i discovered when i tried stopping my body was actually addicted to it. now i’ m really sick dropped three pounds since last night (i stopped taking them yesterday). I’ m shaky and nauseated and have the chills. I swear i feel like a thousand pounds is on my body. what should I do. if i goto the e.r. can they even help me?

Will I still need my tonsils removed?

I was put in the hospital for three days about two weeks ago due to severe tonsilitis. After I got out my tonsils became infected and I was given new steroids and antibiotics. I was set to get them removed Wednesday but had a delayed allergic reaction to the medicine and broke out in a rash so the surgery was postponed. While still slightly swollen, my tonsils are much better. I’m set to get them out on the 22nd, but due to the obvious progress my throat has made, will they still need to be removed? I suffer several soar throats a year and was told that would end with the removal of my tonsils but if they are better I don’t know if I should still get them out. Any past experiences and help is appreciated. Thanks.
Well it was almost nearly closed up and it is a same day surgery. Obviously, I’ve seen the specialist a few times and he had good reason to take them out but since it’s been several weeks and with several medications they have gotten better but are still a little big. They would be out already if I didn’t have an allergic reaction to the antibiotics which I will no longer be able to take (it was the best medicine possible and the only one that actually worked). I guess I’ll tell my mom they are better though I know one thing-I never wanna have to go throw with this again (it was really bad).

Has your child had a Tonsillectomy?

Seeing ENT Dr. Friday for my 3 yr old daughter who has HUGE swollen tonsils. Had them for months now and no matter what she takes they will not go down. They are affecting her sleep and causing her to snore and not get rest full sleep. If the ENT recommends removal of the tonsils what can we expect?

Very nervous and would really like to treat naturally if possible. She is a very healthy, smart, and active little girl. I just don’t want this to affect her later and hear the recovery is easier on little kids.

Removal of strep yourself?

I have had strep for 6 days and the white in my tonsils have not gotten much better so I scraped off allot of it myself, it seems to be healing up faster now but I still endure pain. Do you think this helps or makes things worse. I am on antibiotics.

What is your opinion on circumcision?

My husband and I do not want to circumcise our son when he is born and we are encountering a lot of opposition from family and friends (mainly parents). They site religious and hygenical reasons for their point of view. The AAP does not have sufficient results from research to recommend the routine circumcision of infant boys. Studies are inconclusive and contradictory. It isn’t really any cleaner either, according to my research. Boys are born with a foreskin, it is natural. Does a small chance of a complication justify the removal of the foreskin? If so, why don’t we remove the tonsils and the appendix when a child is born? We even talked to the doctor and he told us that the main determining factors are based on religious and social reasons(looking like his friends). We do live in the Bible belt. We are Christians and as far as biblical reasons go, it says in the New Testament that we are to have circumcised hearts and that physical circumcision is of no value.

What do you think?
Hair grows back… the foreskin doesn’t.

I don’t even want to pierce a baby girl’s ears because I want her to have the choice.
I’m asking because I like to hear other people’s opinions and in doing so I may hear a reason that I haven’t considered yet.
My husband is circumcised and he doesn’t want the baby to be circumcised because he wished that he wasn’t….

Just because "all" the other kids are circcumsized doesn’t make it right. Did you know that many English speaking countries started circumcising their kids to prevent them from masturbating? Did it work? No…

is spitting assault?

If a snotty 13 year old (who is, btw, a strep carrier in need of tonsil/adenoid removal) spits into the mouths of 5 other children while they are sleeping (on a regular basis), can she be charged with 5 counts of assault? And, would it be misdemeanor or felony? I’m in PA. And do I go through the police or file the charges myself at the magistrate?
One of the children being spit on gets scarlet fever when she gets strep. The older child KNOWS this.
The kid is already in Juvie on assault, reckless endangerment, etc charges. The spitting happened within the last month, and on previous occasions.

Felony or misdemeanors?
she was caught doing it by two of the other children, who woke up when hearing her walking around. They are afraid of her and wouldn’t tell on her while she lived here.

PS Our pediatrician said she’s a strep carrier, so you can argue that with her.
