My 3 year old daughter had adnoid and tonsil removal surgery 2 days ago, she now has a runny nose and sneezing like a cold – is this normal?

Iv’e always had tonsil stones since as long as i can remember, and i have bad breath no matter what i do. I brush my teeth 2-3 times a day,floss, use mouth wash, drink plenty of water and eat very healthy. But no matter what i do i always seem to still have bad breath. I recently found out that these lumps i was coughing up were called tonsil stones. I get them every day and they really bother me because they make me feel paranoid and awkward. I was just wondering would i be able to get my tonsils removed on the nhs because of this problem. I am 16 by the way.

Someone told me that masterbating after tonsil removal can cause the wound to bust and bleed, is this true? Its been 7 days after my tonsil removal, is it safe to jack off now?

My son had his tonsils out 3 weeks ago, and back in school he has caught a terrible cold. His coughing hurts his throat. Now my question is, is there a chance this will damage his healing throat? Should I keep hin home from school? Should I take him to the doctor? There’s no fever, just coughing, wherzing, and runny nose.

Hey im 16 and just bought a water pick. I bought the water pick because I have gross tonsil stones and I was trying to remove them, I managed to remove everything but after my left tonsil started to bleed alot. I think the water irritated it… But what will happen!?

I have to go in for the operation on the 28th and have to stay overnight. If all goes well they let me out in the morning. I’m 16 years old and I really don’t feel like missing out on New Years but how well will I be at that time? How long does it usually take to recover? Will I be in complete agony or will it just be a slight sore throat? What are your experiences? Thanks a lot!

Its been ten days, the average amount of time i have heard it takes to recover from tonsil removal. Im still in lots of pain, and when i eat i get serious pain in my ears which causes my brain to explode. Ive lost ten pounds from not eating due to the pain and it doesnt seem that its getting better. How much longer do i have to wait and will i get better gradually or at once? THANKS!

I am getting my tonsils removed on friday, and im worried it will hurt a lot. Please help

So me and my sister were having a discussion about the illness we have had over the past year, and a very argumentative subject came up of which was more painful, uncomfortable, just all round worse than the other. We talked about it i said it seems like they are tied and she said no having my tonsils removed was blah blah than u getting mono…just for the record i didn’t have a mild case of mono i had a pretty bad case of it. So i want ur guys/girls opinion which do u think is worse tonsil removal or mononucleosis?
