I just got over strep and a small ear infection, but my right tonsil still hurts off and on when I swallow. I don’t have the money to go back to the doctor, so I do not know what to do to g my tonsil/ throat to stop hurting! Any suggestions?

Strangely, I have Quinsy/Scarlet Fever/Strep throat. My body is a whore.

I’m apparently not supposed to drink water, because I have too much fluid in my tonsils. Any advice?

i get a sinus infection once ever two-three months so i got my tonsils and adenoids taken out, after that it got a little better but im still getting them on a regular basis. how can i prevent this? i take claritan-d when i get them but that only temporally holds it off.

One of the 3 holes is quite bigger compared to the other two. I do tend to get throat infections a lot more often, every time I’ve gone to the doctor, they said it was tonsillitis, but they’ve never diagnosed the holes? Anyways, just wondering if anyone out there has ever heard of anything like this??

I was on antibiotics for a tonsil infection when I started noticing I was very itchy in my vaginal area and was having a lot of odorless, white, clumpy discharge. I bought the Vagisil pH tester and the results said that my pH level was indicative of a yeast infection. It was my first, so I just made an appointment with my OB GYN and bought some Vagisil anti itch cream. The doctor wasn’t able to see me until the following week. And, by that time the itching and irritation had become so unbearable, that I went out and got some Monistat 3.

I just finished the third treatment and there is little to no itching or discharge. However, I must have been scratching myself in my sleep, and I’ve basically scratched myself raw. I have 6-7 cuts/raw spots and the pain is HORRIBLE. It’s so bad I can barely walk, move, or sit down. I tried putting neosporin on it, and it just seemed to make the stinging worse. I’ve just been taking warm showers, and drying it thoroughly (with a fan). But, the pain is still really intense. I can’t even pee without being brought to tears.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I was a little worried about the neosporin because it is an antibiotic cream, and antibiotics were the reason I first contracted the yeast infection. However, I don’t know if neosporin would have the same effects as amoxcilin. I’m not sure what to do. I just want to relieve the pain, because these spots seem to be healing at a snail’s pace.

I have swollen lymph nodes all over my neck, and a few on my upper groin area. One of my tonsils is swollen, and there is pus all over both of them. I got checked for strep, and it was negative. The preliminary test for mono came back negative too, but there’s still a chance. However, im not tired, no loss of appetite, and my throat doesnt hurt, though the swollen glands do. Any ideas as to what i have? and does anybody know how long it will take before the pus on my tonsils goes away?
also, im a girl. and im not sexually active.

Im curious because when I had my lip pierced I developed tonsillitis within a week after. Now I had my cartilage pierced and it got extremely infected and my lymph nodes swelled and I am now on antibiotics for it. I feel like I have tonsillitis yet again. So is this some odd coincidence or could these piercings actually be related to my swollen tonsils?

My sinuses have been slightly draining for weeks, now the left sinus is draining pretty bad, my left tonsil is really swollen and hurts, and the lymph node on the left side is swollen. I don’t feel "sick" other than this, not run down or fevered or anything, Could it be a sinus infection?

I’m not quite sure how this happened, but my throat had been rather sore since saturday and today i noticed that there was a cut on my left tonsil. its not deep. i told my dad and he said that its possible to get an infection. how can i prevent getting an infection??

I am only 17 and have been smoking for about 9 months, but not every day sometimes about 3 times a week I will have some cigarettes, not more than about 15 a week! But I have really sore tonsils which look like they are covered in puss, the doctor said it is not an infection last time I went and just gave me ibruprofen, but i am sure he is wrong they are pussy, swollen and extremely sore! So last time he asked me if I smoked and I said no, because I really don’t want my parents finding out! and I wanted to know if this "infection" could be because of smoking? And should I tell my doctor that I have been smoking? Also, I am going to give up now! Thank you
