I’ve had previous PLV CA-MRSA infections in several areas of my body, now i have little pustules on my tonsils, is it possible that this could be mrsa? does it mean i have to go back on antibiotics, or will they just go away?

I have a respiratory infection, swollen+sore tonsils(for about a month), and red spots on the back of my throat. My doctor put me on antibiotics about 2 1/2 weeks ago, gave me a Combivent inhaler but, I have not gotten any better. I am really worried about my tonsils and feel like im never going to get better. Could it be a virus?

I just found out that my tonsil infection of 4 months is directly related to the mold infestation in my apartment. I am moving out today but I wanted to know how to heal my tonsil infection and clean out the mold from my inside my body. Any and all answers are appreciated. Thanks

all of last week I had a really bad throat infection tonsils were really swollen and had a white coating on them. I went o the doc and they tested me for strep it came back negative the nurse told me it was just a really bad infection and told me to take my antibiotics..well the infection seemed to go away along with the pain. but one of my tonsils remained swollen that I can feel it when I swallow food or drink it’s doesn’t hurt like it did when I had the infection what could be the reason one of the tonsils my left side remained swollen?

My daughter had her tonsils removed 9 days ago and now I believe she has thrush. Is this a common reaction to having tonsils removed?

I have had recurrent infections and tonsil stones. My primary doctor does not want me to get them taken out because to the down time. But suggested by various ENT’s, I should.

I cut my tonsil when I was snacking on chips. I visited a doctor the day after I did it but I would like to get a few opinions. I am just curious if it is normal for the right side of my throat to be hurting because of it and how long would it possibly take for the pain to go away? Right now I am taking aspirin, ibuprofen, and lidocaine(a numbing medicine) and it still hurts a bit. And as far as I know the tonsil has an infection.

Please don’t answer with "see a doctor." That’s what I have been doing. The doctors I have seen know my family history with lymphoma (cancer), and they keep implying that there is nothing to be concerned about. So, I have resorted to this forum.
Asymmetric tonsil hypertrophy is basically an enlargement of one tonsil (w/ no infection or pain). It has grown very, very slowly over time and has remained there for years (at least one or two that I know of). It has not gotten smaller ever (as a tonsil would if it were infected). I do not have a long history of infections, strep, etc. I rarely get sick or get sinus infections, etc.
What should I do?
