Had a bad virus for 2 months. Then got my very first sinus infection. Had to have 2 seperate 1 week courses of antibiotics, only the 2nd course of antibiotcis managed to just about clear it.

I felt ok after about 2 weeks, then the other day I felt a bit off again. 2 days ago I woke, with a few head pains and still post-nasal drip, it had turned green again………

So today I really didnt feel well, I felt hot, croaky sounding voice, a few head pains and mild pressure and earache. So I went to the doctors, AGAIN, and they checked me out. I had a inflammed ear with slight inner infection, tonsils were a little swollen, inside of nose was badly inflammed, temperature was 37.8 degress, and I felt awful

The doctor said he didn’t want to give me antibiotics again just yet as it has only been just 3 days, and he thinks it’s viral. Also because last time the antibiotics made me feel really bad, quite anxious and bad dreams.

So…. I guess im just wondering what everyone else makes of it, after having this crap on and off for about 4 months now and if they think it could be viral? Also how long will it take, and will i know if its bacterial? Anything other cheering up would be welcomed

I had throat infection for the past two weeks. Actually I had undergone a operation when I was six. The operation is named as ‘Adenoid’ which means something is obstructing in my throat forcing water and other liquids to flow back to my ear and so on. But after the operation was done, for ten years everything went normal. But then started trouble. Again my hearing capacity reduced particularly right ear, used to have sinus in nose, and also head ache, throat infection, tonsils, and so on.
Later on for studies I moved to USA, and for two years I don’t have any problem.All went absolutely fine. But for the past two months again I had hearing problems again in right ear, and now I had severe throat infection.
Can some one help me how to diagnose myself and treat myself without seeing a physician?
Can also tell me what are the precautions, food restrictions that I need to take ?
Also, I am becoming fat due to this infections is that true ?

I didn’t use to snore before. i am 28 years old, male. i had a tonsils infection a couple of months before. ever since then my throat was kinda always sore. and i am snoring a lot at night. I mean a lot and really loud. I wake up and my mouth is super, super dry. My tongue, my teeth the whole mouth is so dry. What could have caused this, and how can i remedy. Please help. Thanks.

I deepthroated a guy with no protection and a day later when I swallowed or ate my throat hurt and my tonsils especially my right was swollen, 3 days later they stopped being in pain but are still swollen and I can feel a lump on the outside of my throat on my neck, also I accidently hit the tonsil with my toothbrush and it started bleeding just a little bit. Does anyone know what it could possibly be???

I started taking anti-biotics three whole days ago, and I still have pain and a swollen tonsil with the white infection showing.

I was hoping to go away this weekend, but don’t want to compromise or elongate the recovery process.

started with a slight cold yesterday. tonight my throat was feeling scratchy. i looked in the mirror with a flashlight and have thick white patches on my left tonsil…it hurts. looks like a few blood spots too…..BUT i have NO fever!!! what could it be?

My left tonsil is swollen and hurts alot only on one side.
My neck also hurts all the way up to my ear a little bit.
It hurts when I swallow and when I move my neck or do any vigorous moves
I also smoke once a week.
What is this sickness, is it viral or infection (I dont know what they mean)

Tonsillitis/ infection help? I have had multiple sinus infections lately which keep getting passed between me and my two year old son. The drs always tell me its virul until it gets so bad I have to go back for antibiotics finally I had a sinus infection recently that got so bad before they believed it was an infection. The antibiotics seemed to help but my tonsils started playing up whilst on them and my son caught tonsillitis. Not long after finishing the antibiotics I came down with tonsillitis and had a severe case of body inflammation which left my legs dead arms numb and pins/ needles, my skin burning and agony in every joint and muscles and could barely move I went to the Dr but he refused more antibiotics even though the last lot obviously failed and told me he had no idea why my body got so inflamed but was worse for the infections I had been . He refused antibiotics and gave me naproxen and told Mr to wait two weeks to see if it clears up but now my tonsils are huge, oozing pus and I’m producing my tonsils are huge, oozing pus and I’m producing orange mucus… Should I go back? I feel they wil get annoyed o if I do. Do they sound incompetent?
CCaCCan I point out, for all the Rouge P types, that the infections WERE INFECTIONS just misdiagnosed as viruses previously… Then the Dr ADMITTED THEY WERE INFECTIONS and THE INFECTION hasn’t gone and got worse but won’t treat it..

My right tonsil has been hurting/swollen for the past three days,what concerns me is that im not sick,this never has happened to me.?? Unless im sick?? The pain runs through my right tonsil to my right ear,Im assuming that its just an infection.When i blow my nose my mucus usually comes out clear,but for the past three days it has been coming out yellow.
