My tonsils are always changing with new lumps/craters and now part of it is hanging off. No, I haven’t been to the doctor’s yet due to no insurance. Is there any way I could fix this problem at home or make the swelling go down until I get around to the doctors, I also want to know how bad this infection can get and if I could die from it? Please help. No bs. Thanks.

I went to the doctors yesterday and i was diagnosed with having an infection in my tonsils. I was wondering if the following foods would worsen my condition because everything i eat hurts and these are the only foods that i can actually see myself eating.

Mashed potatoes
Chicken noodle soup, tomato soup,
yogurt
macaroni and cheese

p.s. which foods will heal my tonsils faster? cold foods or hot foods?

I have had a tonsil infection on my left tonsil for 10 days now and have been taking penicillin as prescribed by my doctor. The penicillin has had no effect. Most of my symptoms are gone expect my tonsil is still sore and got white stuff on it. Does this mean it is something more serious?

Was mostly curious as to what causes tonsil infections. I’ve seen infections but never thought about what causes that to happen, til now.

How exactly do you get a tonsil infection and can you spread the disease if you get close to people or cough.

I have had a sore throat and I notices on my tonsils I have white spots, like flat blisters? I’m not sure what this is. Is this a form of a tonsil infection?

Doctor gave me antibiotics to clear up my tonsil infection. I have been taking them for 4 days now and it doesn’t seem to be clearing. He told me to take them for 10 days but I don’t think they are helping much and should I have seen a little improvement by now.
