Adenoid, Tonsil removal and Eartube Surgery-All at the same time?
My daughter is just turning 3 in May. She had a set of eartube a year and a half ago, but they fell out. Now she is having a lot of ear infections again and water in both ears for about 4 months now.
Also her tonsils are almost touching each other and has problems breathing with nose. She is snoring when she is awake or sleeping.
We saw her ENT today, and she told us that she needs to have her tonsils and adenoinds out and a new set of ear tube.
I am so afraid of the surgery and recovery. Can anyone give me an advice on the surgery or recovery?

I had it done when i was little twice. My daughter was 9 month and she had it done. Everything will be fine. She will be a lil cranky and clingy. I would spoil her till she gets well. Cause she might feel bad for a few days. Anyway good luck.
I had the "3 pack" surgery when I was little, then my oldest son had it too!! I remember him being a little whiney and clingy for a couple days, but he bounced back great and never had another ear infection!
I had all this done when I was 3 (my sister did as well) and according to my mom the recovery was pretty quick (just a few days). I could only eat liquids for a few days. My son had tubes put in his ears a few months ago and the worst part was when he woke up from surgery. For some reason children scream uncontrollably when they wake up from surgery. There are videos on webmd that show how tonsilectomies and adnoidectomies are performed to help you out.
