A fever for 3 months with tonsil infection?

My tonsils are always changing with new lumps/craters and now part of it is hanging off. No, I haven’t been to the doctor’s yet due to no insurance. Is there any way I could fix this problem at home or make the swelling go down until I get around to the doctors, I also want to know how bad this infection can get and if I could die from it? Please help. No bs. Thanks.

This isn’t something you can fix at home. I can’t predict how serious the infection could become because I have no idea what organism is causing it (and neither does anyone else) and therefore I can’t say if it’s potentially fatal. If it turned to be, it would be due to complications. Seek out a free clinic, a low-cost clinic or sliding scale fee clinic.
You must be feeling really bad! you probably have strep or tonsillitis. You need to get some antibiotics cause this infection will just keep coming back. I urge you to get to the doctor explain about your insurance situation sometimes they will give you samples or better yet a shot it works quicker. Hope you feel better soon
I think this sounds pretty serious. GO TO THE DOCTOR!!! If it has been 3 months its probably pretty serious, and you need to get it taken care of.
I’ve had plenty of infections in my throat (and tonsils when I had them) and each time I went to the doctor they told me that it is extremely important to go to the doctor asap to get tested for strep throat because if that isn’t treated it can spread in your body and affect other organs and if you never fix it then you die. Sounds horrible, but you should really get to a doctor. Especially for having a fever for 3 months! I don’t know how you’re not in the hospital at this point.
Oh Man! how nice it is to live in the richest country in the world and have tonsillitis for 3 months! At least the rich people have plenty of champagne – and that’s what’s apparently important.
yes – you can die of that – you can get strep in your heart which screws it up for life. probably won’t happen – but go ask somebody for enough dough to go to some clinic. Or just go to a clinic and tell them you got nothing to pay with.
If you absolutely can’t get antibiotic, Dr. Atkins suggested you use a massive dose of vitamin A. 100,000 IU’s/day. I use this whenever I get a cold – but you’re past the point of a little cold. You might have to get those tonsils out too.
perhaps we’ll get lucky and Obama will get us some sort of health care…..
