For the past few years, I’ve been having tonsil stones…which appear at least once day and can be big. I have terrible allergies and constantly have post-nasal drip…so could that be the cause? They’re really irritating because I can either smell them from the back of my throat or feel them upcoming up…and it sucks to have this happen during class (yuck)! Idk if thats also my reason for also having swollen lymph nodes under my chin.
Is there any ways to get rid of them? I know I see products sold online to get rid of them but they look like scams. Thanks in advance

Im tired of getting these!
since I can remember, I have been having them since I was around 10 years old.
I get them about 2-3 times a year. Mostly when the weather temperature changes.
they fall out within a week or two but I hate them and they are so annoying in my throat and stink
so bad they give you instant bad breath no matter how much Scope you use
Also the cold sore I have appears once a year and both the tonsil stones and cold sore appeared at the same time… maybe because of the temperature changes due to it being winter time?
why do some people get these stones and why do some don’t ?
I’m the only one in my family that gets them why?
I already tried picking at them with clean fingers and gargling hot water with salt and it does help.
But i hate waiting until they loosen up by themselves and I spit and cough them out
any ideas on how to get rid of these stones a faster way ? or how to never have them appear again?
thanks for reading this to whoever read it.

I have planned to get my tonsils and adenoids removed in about 1 week. I collect weird medical things, and tonsils would be a great addition to the collection. Would it be possible to keep them after the removal? Is this typically done? Or should I just give up on it?

I started having the symptoms on Friday. I went to the doctors on sunday. She said that I have very bad Tonsillitis and that there is no antibiotics that I can take for it. She said that I don’t need my tonsils removed. She also told me to gargle hydrogen peroxide and then warm salt water twice a day, Also drinking lots of Vitamin C. It’s been 2 days. I’ve done everything she told me to do. I’ve had no progress. What should I do?

I’ve been taking this drink called Emergen-C. It’s a fizzy drink. I’ve been taking Tylenol since Saturday night. It’s been 2 days. I’ve done everything she told me to do. I’ve had no progress. I thought my tonsils were of a normal size. That was until my friend asked me to check her tonsils for any stones (more later). I was confused because I couldn’t SEE her tonsils. I thought she had them removed, but she assured me that she’s never had them removed. My tonsils are about the size of the top half of my thumb. (Normal hands I guess? I’m a girl..)
Now about the stones. I started getting them about 2 years ago, but I wasn’t sure what they were and so I just let them be.
I’m thinking that was a mistake, because the crypts in my tonsils are huge. I’m not sure if this is true, but my theory is the longer you leave them in, the bigger they get and the bigger the hole and the bigger the hole, more stuff can get in. So it plays off of each other. I’m not sure if it’s true or not, but whatever.
Anyways, in my left tonsil, the ‘crypt’ is so big that I can stick the whole head of a q-tip inside while cleaning it out. In my right, it recently began bothering me, and I’ve woken up quite a few times with a strange, irritating feeling in my tonsil, like something was stuck on it. In it, in this case. Naturally it was the stones causing the discomfort, and I removed them as soon as I woke up, but later that day, I felt them again.
When I get home, my dad is taking me to get them removed. (Thankfully)
But what I’m asking is information on this. Do I have permanent tonsilitis? I read somewhere that it’s tonsilitis if your tonsils are red and swollen, as mine are.
So please inform me, thanks so much in advance.

all of last week I had a really bad throat infection tonsils were really swollen and had a white coating on them. I went o the doc and they tested me for strep it came back negative the nurse told me it was just a really bad infection and told me to take my antibiotics..well the infection seemed to go away along with the pain. but one of my tonsils remained swollen that I can feel it when I swallow food or drink it’s doesn’t hurt like it did when I had the infection what could be the reason one of the tonsils my left side remained swollen?

I can’t leave my nose alone. (No, not picking it.)
I put my index and middle finger on the middle where the bridge is, and push up on the skin. When I do so, something pops, and gosh, I breathe so much better. I do this constantly to the point where my hands are never anywhere else.
I have breathing problems; that much I know.
I had adenoid/tonsil removal. For awhile that helped, but I’m back down to snoring again.
(Yeah, and I also need help with something else. I pick at my thumbs and fingers to the point of blood drawn. It is painful, yes, but I’ve done it since grade school, so I’m used to it.)
