So i just started getting tonsil stones this year, little white stinky balls.
I usually cough them up. i did earlier before i got in the shower but i still have one in my throat. it hurts when i swallow now! I tried getting it out with a Tip but that didn’t work i tried my finger that didn’t work either now when i put the Tip on it i bring back blood. Its really making me scared, i don’t know what to do. Can it cause me to get sick? i usually have a sore throat which leads to strep about 4+ times a year. Should i get my tonsils removed?? Im 17 an really don’t like dealing with this. an the bad breath sucks. i brush my teeth twice a day. Please help me tell me my options.
My dog started snoring about a month ago and I didn’t really think much of it, until today when my partner noticed my boy has what appears to be swollen glands in his neck one is about the size of a ping pong ball and the other is a bit smaller. He has been off his food for a little while but I put this down to the hot weather, he has also been panting quite a bit but again put it down to the hot weather. I will be making him an appointment as soon as the vets open on Tuesday, but am worried about my boy and just wondered if anyone had encountered similar symptoms. Or had any advice. Thanks.
my right tonsil gets a lot of ‘junk’ in it and sometimes it comes loose and i cough it out and its white/yellow and it smells. i looked it up and i think i have tonsil stones. but i also have a few bumps on the way back of my tongue that i never noticed until recently and it hurts to swallow. i also get coughing fits and its annoying. do you think i have tonsil stones, or should i go to the doctor to get tested for strept? do white-ish spots on the back of my tongue come with tonsil stones at all? btw i dont seem to have swollen lymph nodes on my neck
I was on antibiotics for a tonsil infection when I started noticing I was very itchy in my vaginal area and was having a lot of odorless, white, clumpy discharge. I bought the Vagisil pH tester and the results said that my pH level was indicative of a yeast infection. It was my first, so I just made an appointment with my OB GYN and bought some Vagisil anti itch cream. The doctor wasn’t able to see me until the following week. And, by that time the itching and irritation had become so unbearable, that I went out and got some Monistat 3.
I just finished the third treatment and there is little to no itching or discharge. However, I must have been scratching myself in my sleep, and I’ve basically scratched myself raw. I have 6-7 cuts/raw spots and the pain is HORRIBLE. It’s so bad I can barely walk, move, or sit down. I tried putting neosporin on it, and it just seemed to make the stinging worse. I’ve just been taking warm showers, and drying it thoroughly (with a fan). But, the pain is still really intense. I can’t even pee without being brought to tears.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I was a little worried about the neosporin because it is an antibiotic cream, and antibiotics were the reason I first contracted the yeast infection. However, I don’t know if neosporin would have the same effects as amoxcilin. I’m not sure what to do. I just want to relieve the pain, because these spots seem to be healing at a snail’s pace. ![]()
I’ve had small tonsil stones my whole life, but this morning as usual I saw the little one sticking out so as I scraped and scraped and poked at the usual tonsil crypt, the BIGGEST tonsil stone I’ve ever seen came out. It was half the size of my thumb and about just as wide, and I’m scared to know what else is behind my tonsils. It actually came out with a little blood and I’m still spitting out some pieces.
I’m getting them out in a month, but in the meantime, should I go to the doctor?
am 17 years old. I have tonsil stones and I may be getting my tonsils removed and i’m super scared and nervous! i had a few questions regarding the tonsil removal surgery…
1. is there anything i should do before the surgery?
- like eat food, drink lots of water, take tylonal, etc?
2. what kind of anesthesia do they give during the surgery?
- is it gas, a pill, or what?
3. how long does the surgery take?
4. how long do i have to stay in the hospital after the surgery is done?
5. what kind of pain killers do they prescribe for the pain that follows after the surgery?
6. about how long will i feel pain for?
7. will i be able to talk after the surgery?
8. what kinds of foods should i eat and what foods should i avoid? (i’m a vegetarian, by the way)
any other tips or advice are welcome too!
Thanks!
what are the kinds of tonsil problems? and why do they have to surgery it
I’m 18 and have had sinus problems since i can remember. (Chronic sinusitis) Its nothing too serious, I just feel clogged all the time and get post nasal drip like no other. Its irritating but I can deal with it. My doctor prescribed a nasal steroid but I refuse to take steroids because of the side effects. Lately I’ve had a problem with tonsil stones as well, and that’s not really bearable. I’ve had three in the past four days, and removing them does nothing. They just keep coming back. I actually have a really sore throat because of it .. I think that removing them actually makes the problem worse because of the openings that are left when I do so. I’m thinking of having my tonsils removed, but I wonder if this will help or hurt my sinus problem. I currently go to a pediatrician who refuses to negotiate the problem because I wont take the steroids. I’m going to switch to a family doctor soon anyways, but my question is should I go about having my tonsils removed or wait?

it is really sore to swallow
i have a fever and i am sweating lots..
i feel dizzy
loss of appetite
my glands are swollen and hurt
one moment i am really really cold, the next im really warm :S
this has lasted now for about 3 days and it seems to be getting worse
and also should i go to the doctor?
also my ears are sore too
