What is wrong with my soft palette and tongue?
I had my tonsils taken out on Dec 18th and I’m 31 years old, on the 9th day of recovery I got sick with something my husband had, and went to the dr. he gave me a zpak, well I started getting better, then all the sudden I’m back to being sick again with a swollen soft pallette (it even has a red swollen x shape up there),and swollen tongue. My throat also hurts, I don’t have a fever or anything, but am baffled? I am now allergic to a lot of foods, when I eat broccli or carrots my throat starts itching and my stomach hurts so I have to take benadryl and then fall asleep. Did I make a mistake letting them take my tonsils out, will I ever recover. I don’t have a clue what’s wrong with me. Please give me any suggestions. Although I have no fever or anything, my throat feels like it is stuck together when I wake up in the morning.

I recovered from tonsillitis about 3 weeks ago, but since yesterday I have been feeling the symptoms again though not that bad this time around, and the tonsils look OK without pus, just a bit red. The main thing annoying me is that my left neck gland is a bit swollen. I feel a bit better overnight but it is still a tad swollen and I have a busy schedule coming up this week and don’t know how much the swelling will improve through self care. Should I go to a doctor and require antibiotics or would I have to wait a few days to see if the symptoms get worse? (I’d rather not wait if it means I most likely have tonsillitis again)
Is this the start of a relapse of tonsillitis or does the lack of pus and lower intensity of symptoms mean that I don’t have to go to the doctor?

Hi, I have one or two tonsil stones way on the back of my throat. I can’t see them but I can feel them, they are VERY annoying.
What can I do to get them out? I know they create bad breath, and I feel embarrassed just thinking about it.
Can you help me?

Do doctors commonly use removing tonsils and adenoids as a way to reduce snoring (or just breathing loud/hard while asleep)?
I ask because doctors suggested it when I was little (so my mom just told me), and I wondered if it is commonly used today as the same reason. Plan to talk with my doctor, but was just CURIOUS.

Tonsil issues.. Annoying! Tiny white spots.?
Ok, so about 14 days ago i was put on amoxicillin for a "sinus" infection. (Long standing). I had a sore throat and a cough with yellow phlegm etc etc.
However i finished these 10 day antibiotics around 4 days ago. And again in have a slight irritated throat. And a few white dots. Rather than spots as they are very small and approx 5-6 on one and maybe 3 on the other one,. The left one is quite swollen but pink and not "red".
I have tried to remove these with a cotton bud and my tonsil bled as soon as it was touched. Im assuming its a tonsil infection.
So i was thinking if i had any "problems" Wouldn’t the antibiotics have solved this? I know They wouldn’t touch a virus but this has been going on for about 5 weeks now. And it comes and goes.
Its getting really annoying now. It is the weekend as we know so no doctors till monday. I brush, rinse, floss very regularly so dont know what to do next? Any ideas??
Also last week i had tiny pin pricky red spots on the roof of my mouth..
