After having my tonsils swelled up for over two years now, and becoming tired after the simplest exercisess, my doctor has recommendedd for me to get my tonsils removed. I will have them removed in 1 week and have some questions. How long is the operation???How much will it hurt??? How long will take me to recover??? And if anyone really wants to help, can they explain the procedure??? Thank You. Also I am 13 if it changes anything.

I had strep throat about two months ago. since that time my one tonsil has been puffy. I took antibiotics and finished all of them, but this weekend I was poking at the tonsil with a q-tip and pushed really hard on it and it exploded Puss. I don’t have a fever, It doesn’t hurt, No glands are sore. Do Tonsils just hold puss? why woudn’t I feel like it was infected. Should I have the tonsil removed, or just call the doc for different antibiotics?

My husband has it,and is on a high dose of antibiotics for the next ten days. I was just wondering if there was anything else that may help,or at least ease his symptoms?

I just had my tonsils removed and I need stuff to do. I’m pretty much confined to my bed. I’m equipped with a DVD Player, Macbook and a Wii. can anyone tell me some good long games that are fun to play in situations like this?
Im thinking of getting World of Warcraft.
Im just here to take your recommendations.
Thanks

ive heard of tonsil stones and i do not want to experience them. I have a very bad sore throat and I have little white spots only on the left side of my throat behind the tonsil. How do I determine what these are?
