I suffer from repeated tonsil stones. I have tried everything to stop them and failed so I want to get my tonsils removed to cure this by paying for private treatment. Can I just contact a private hospital and have it done or do I need a referral?

These tonsil stones are foul smelling little white hard things that come out of my tonsils. Online it is described as something that happens occasionally to people with larger tonsils. However, my problem is absolutly constant. No matter what I am doing, these things are coming out of the back of my throat! What should I do? should I make an appointment with my general practitioner, or my dentist? I need help, I am suffering alot from these things!

Everyone in my family has been sick, I’ve been taking lots of airborne and zicam to fight it..I feel pretty good except for a head ache and red bumps all over my tongue, could this be a symptom of tonsillitis or strep?
I got my tonsils out as well as my adnoids a long time ago.

I have had this problem for years. Anyone that suffers the same condition will know how unpleasant it is.

Are there any dietary issues involved with this condition?
How do you expel the nasty stuff?

HELP…..its really affecting my confidence and self esteem. Not to mention the disgusting discomfort of having "something" stuck in your throat all the time!! YUCK

I have been getting really bad sore throats and I am guessing that it is from the tonsil stones. It looks like the pockets are full but when I press on them they only peak out of the top and I am too scared to pull them out myself. I cough them up every now and again but I don’t think that is enough. I was thinking of getting a laser tonsillectomy.

I get them and recently I had a sore throat for like 2 weeks and I looked into a mirror and saw something white on my tonsil so I took my wet toothbrush and brush it off and it was a huge white stone. I’m so disgusted by these things I want to learn how to prevent them

I hate tonsil stones on my right tonsil. I’ve been reading about them alot lately, and everyone says that once they get the stone things out they just come back.
Is there any way to prevent them?

Also, my tongue was really white and gross looking. Could that be from the tonsil stones?

what are the symptoms of tonsillitis, i have had a bad throat and i mean very bad for almost a week at least and i am up all through the night having to take a drink as my throat and mouth get so sore and dry ,it really hurts when i swallow really bad it makes me not want to swallow and i had white blisters and a very red throat according to my mum also my ears have been hurting just as long it also hurts when i talk. Have i got tonsillitis?
