My daughter is 3 years old and had her tonsil, adenoid removed this morning. I would say this day is one of the most miserable day of our life. Constantly crying and takes a long time to get the pain medicine( capital codein) in her, and it wears off within 4 hours. She ate like 6 ice pops today and drinks, but so stuffy in her nose, and complains for the pain in her throat.
Any good advice?

This morning I coughed up my first tonsil stone while brushing the back of my tongue. At first I thought it was some sort of weird aftermath from the Hi-Chew candy I had been eating (A Japanese candy similar to Starbursts, but more soft and gummy in texture), but it was indeed a tonsil stone.
Should I be concerned? Am I in some sort of health trouble if I have a tonsil stone at the age of 20?
Please only reply if you even know what tonsil stones are.

For the past few days I haven’t been feeling well, but since I dont have insurance I try my hardest to ignore it. So I found this in my research?
What are the symptoms of tonsillitis?
The following are the most common symptoms for tonsillitis. However, each individual may experience symptoms differently. Symptoms may include:
*swollen, red tonsils (often coated with a yellow, gray, or white membrane)
*blisters or painful ulcerated areas on the throat
*sudden onset sore throat
*pain with swallowing
*headache
*loss of appetite (dont have)
*malaise (dont have)
*chills
*fever (dont have)
*swollen and tender lymph nodes in the neck or jaw area
So I am hoping that SOMEONE out there can offer some advice to me as what I can do at home and save myself the huge bill going to the doctor without insurance.
Thanks in advance for any information!!!

I have a tonsil infection!
They are huge and red, but not with white spots or anything!
My doctor said i don’t have strep, mono, or the flu, but a tonsil infection.
He put me on antibiotics for 10 days.
It’s day one.
How long untill they stop hurting?
Right now it really, really, hurts to swallow.
How long?

I know it’s painful and all of the disadvantages. What were the ADVANTAGES for you? I’d like to hear some good stories to go into surgery with a halfway decent attitude about the whole thing. Thank you in advance to all that share.
