i want to get mine removed because i keep on getting these nasty tonsil stones and i HATE IT!! i want them removed to get rid of them FOREVER.. so is it a good reason to tell my family doctor so she can put me up for surgery?

ok every now and then theres these little ‘tonsil stones’ that come out of my tonsils and theres always been this whiteish yellow patch in the lower corner of my right tonsil and my tonsils have always been big and its hard to swallow most of the time anyway what is this patch? and how do i get rid of the things coming out? they smell really bad. and make me have really bad breath..

I had my tonsils removed january 5th and i was wondering if it was safe to drink beer/liquor today and if not, when.

I’ve been having this infection in my lingual tonsils which are located at the base and the sides of the tongue, I’ve taken amoxicillin and Augmentin for it many times with no results. Can anybody tell me if there’s a cure?

i was in hospital 8 days with tonsillitis only got out today but when u looked at my tonsil at home there is white puss and its kinda hard to swallow??? any ideas i have on 8 days of iv antibiotics is it still infected? kinda have pains in my ears 2 whole ent is bad few months im meant to have my tonsil removed tuesday but dunno if they will remove the tonsil if infected any ideas???

Im 17 and Im getting my tonsils taken out in a few days and im wondering whatll happen, ive heard that you can be screwd either with them in or out and that either way im gonna have problems, theyve been swollen like hell for the past 6 months, longest i remember, and i was wanting to know some of the extreme complications during the surgery, like Will i wake up during the surgery and expireience my throat being chopped out? I have tonsil stones and constantly have a sore throat now. My parents think that if they don’t go away i will probably have to have my tonsils removed. I was just curious how painful it is

I have suffered from tonsil stones for a number of years now but have never went to the doctor about it. I was wondering, if anyone else suffers from them?
If you dont know what they are, they are yellow-white lumps that form in your tonsils and can cause bad breath. It also feels like a foreign object is lodged at the back of the throat.
I was wondering if there is anything the doctor can actually do for tonsil stones? I have one in my throat just now and I can see it. Several websites have suggested using a cotton bud to dislodge it but i tried it and i gagged

So I had my tonsils removed, Monday December 14th. I am still in a lot of pain and was wondering if anyone knew how long it takes to recover from the whole situation. My mom keeps telling me by tomorrow because it will be up to a full week; but the doctor said a few days after the surgery.
